Clay Dyer

Clay's Motto for Life:  "If I can, you can"

Clay Dyer was born on May 23, 1978, without legs, without a left arm, and

with only a partial arm on the right side.  However, these limitations have

not dampened his determination and positive spirit.

Clay started fishing at age 5 and began tournament fishing at age 15.

Highly competitive, Clay has not allowed his physical disabilities to be an obstacle, earning the respect of his fellow anglers on the pro circuit.  In 2006, Clay made his FLW Tour debut on Pickwick Lake finishing ahead of the reigning BassMaster Classic Champion and the reigning FLW Tour Champion. In 2007, Clay finished 102 out of 200 at the FLW Tour tournament on the Detroit River.  He is currently starting his third year on the FLW Tour and

Series Tournament schedules.

During his free time, Clay is a fishing guide for disabled and terminally ill children through the United Special Sportsmen Alliance.  Clay is traveling most of the year.  When he is not fishing on the tournament

trail, he is regularly sharing his life experiences through motivational

and leadership presentations to various companies such as Disney, International Paper, University of Alabama Developmental Disabilities Conference, First Progressive , Easter Seals of Southern Georgia and at  Chick-Fil-A Franchise Meeting to name a few as well as to charitable organizations and churches.  Clay’s television appearances include ESPN, Fox, Outdoor Life Network, The Outdoor Channel, Fox Sports South, Charter Sports South, CNN, CNN/Headline News, and CBS.   Clay has also appeared on the nationally syndicated Rick and Bubba radio show.

News, the Baptist Standard,  and Angler Guide to name a few.  Clay is also

the subject of a biography entitled, "The View From Down Here is Just Fine."  Clay is the national spokesperson for C.A.S.T. for Kids which promotes fishing opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged children across the United States.
